Read as few words as you like, and speak fewer, but act upon the law.

If beings knew, as I know, the results of giving & sharing, they would not eat without having given.

People cleave to their worldly possessions and selfish passions so blindly as to sacrifice their own lives for them. They are like a child who tries to eat a little, honey smeared on the edge of a knife. The amount is by no means sufficient to appease his appetite, but he runs the risk of wounding his tongue.

Reverence, humility, contentment, gratitude and hearing the good Dhamma, this is the best good luck.

Just as one can make a lot of garlands from a heap of flowers, so man, subject to birth and death as he is, should make himself a lot of good karma.

Be lamps unto yourselves; be your own confidence. Hold truth within yourselves.

In the sky, there is no distinction of east and west; people create disticntions out of their own minds and then believe them to be true.
