The grudge you hold on to is like a hot coal that you intend to throw at someone, only you're the one who gets burned.

May the powerless find power, and may people think of befriending each other. May those who find themselves in trackless, fearful wilderness- the children, the aged, the unprotected- be guarded by beneficent celestials, and may they swiftly attain Buddhahood.

A dog is not considered a good dog because he is a good barker. A man is not considered a good man because he is a good talker.

Just as a solid rock is not shaken by the storm, even so the wise are not affected by praise or blame.
