One of the things I learned as president is that your life is just not going to unfold the way you want it to. There will be surprises, challenges, and therefore the question is how you deal with the unexpected.

You saw the president yesterday. I thought he was very forward-leaning, as they say in diplomatic nuanced circles.

"Americans do not presume to equate God's purposes with any purpose of our own...."[Prayer] teaches us to trust, to accept that God's plan unfolds in his time, not our own.

Our nation was horrified, but it's not going to be terrorized.

What people can't possibly imagine is what it's like to have two presidents who have a relationship as father and son.

Time is passing...yet for the United States of America, there will be no forgetting September the 11th.

By heritage and by choice, the United States of America will make that stand.
