When you've written a song, sometimes it's really hard to wrap your brain around what somebody else is doing, or maybe the way that they see the song.

Don't ever let the media tell you what your body is supposed look like. You're beautiful the way you are. Stay beautiful, keep it ugly.

When I did The Umbrella Academy, I studied Gabriel Bá's art. I said, "Oh, this is what he likes to do here. Maybe I can push him to do a little more of this." You can play to those strengths. It's a different scenario with each artist.

I feel like I'm guiding the teams and we're all making this together. It feels more free-spirited and less structured, but we have our deadlines and that's important. We have an editorial team, but we're having fun. I get to guide them.

All of my favourite albums have this incredible amount of conceptual glue to them, even if they are not telling a story.

I had a couple of really cool friends when I was a kid, and we'd find cool music and movies and show them to each other. My friend Dennis had a copy of 'A Clockwork Orange' and he'd already seen it once, and he was like, 'We need to watch this.' I was sleeping over his house - and I think we were literally 15 - and we watched it.
