Tremendous happiness and peace of mind are the results of loving service to others. Nobody can live fully and happily who lives only unto himself or herself.

This is my prayer for all of us — 'Lord, increase our faith.' Increase our faith to bridge the chasms of uncertainty and doubt. Grant us faith to look beyond the problems of the moment to the miracles of the future. Give us faith to do what is right and let the consequence follow.

There must be labor, incessant and constant, if there is to be a harvest.

Every good citizen adds to the strength of a nation. With that assumption I do not hesitate to say that the nation of Chile is better for our presence, and the same thing is happening in every other nation where we are operating.

Quiet talk is the language of love. It is the language of peace. It is the language of God.

. . . as people serve, they grow in capacity. The time and effort is not a sacrifice because there is returned more than is given.
