You don't need anyone's permission to be exactly who you want to be

My mom and I were super close when I was a kid, her and I sort of ran off from her ex-husband. It wasn't such a good time for us and I remember listening to The Distillers with her. One time I actually asked her, 'Mom, can I shave my head into a mohawk?'

Whatever your pleasure, belief, sorrow or triumph... we are all human and we are all constantly facing some sort of brokenness. Of the heart, of finances, of family, of dreams... it is real pain and it can’t be ignored.
