I have always thought that change you can see and feel is best.

Creating problems is easy. We do it all the time. Finding solutions, ones that last and produce good results, requires guts and care.

I'm just shallow and self-interested, and don't get out much because I'm afraid of real commitments.

There's nothing new about the government protecting corporations and calling it the freeing of the world or bringing democracy to bereft nations.

Travelling as extensively as I do... the take away for me has made me very humble and very sympathetic to other people's plight in the world and very desirous of being proactive in being part of a solution somehow and not part of a problem. It's made me very patient and very grateful for where I live.

When Black Flag and DOA and all those bands were touring in the early 80s, it was kind of a forest and you just kind of got your way through it. Now it's like a six lane highway with Starbucks every twenty meters. That's just civilization.

The idea that any performer type is owed anything is a joke to me.
