I grew up riding when I was younger in Texas. I actually learned how to ride in Norway. I really love riding horses.

My parents would have to put the fire hose on me to get me out of bed, to go to school in the morning. They would use a cattle prod and just shock me, or throw boiling water on me, or fire a gun next to my head, to get me out of bed.

I used to want to be a vampire when I was young. It’d be great, you know? Run around at night, never die, kill people. It sounds like a great life!

I miss Texas so bad. That’s the hard part about being out here in L.A., trying to pursue acting and music and lighting and production and stuff. It takes a lot of time out from your personal life, and I can only get back to Texas three times a year at most. It’s tough.

I just really like the characte [Jasper Hale], and I love the story [Twiglight], I think it's a very strong character and I respect him. It's interesting; I respect the character that I play. I don't understand it, but I do. That's a good thing. I think so, I think so. I never felt like that before with a character.

It’s not exactly that I can’t stay in one place. It’s that if I’m in one place, I have to rearrange it every four to six months! I have to completely change my room!

I live for art. I love entertaining people, making them smile and think. I love to know that a little piece of what they see, read or what they listen to is something that they can think about or see the world in a different way. Art is never-ending and I’d like to leave something that survives me when I’ll die.
