Unfortunately, every time someone said โdebriefing,โ the entire flock had one image: someoneโs tighty-whities disappearing in a flash. We were smothering our giggles, but it was getting harder. Coupled with the whole โnaval this, and naval that,โ with its undeniable belly-button connotations, we were essentially turning into a sugar-jacked, sleep-deprived flock of incoherent, silly, recombinant-DNA goofballs. This was not going to end well.

James PattersonIf it's commercial fiction that you want to write, it's story, story, story. You've got to get a story where if you tell it to somebody in a paragraph, they'll go, "Tell me more." And then when you start to write it, they continue to want to read more. And if you don't, it won't work.
