If I can change, anybody can change.

I was raised in the '50s. I was taught by my father that how I looked was all that mattered.

If our work is stimulating and rewarding, if it pushes us to grow...we become more valuable human beings.

"Strong" to people means "real." It means you believe that's a person who exists, as opposed to some two-dimensional depiction of women.

The vulnerability of opening your heart fully and deeply to another is terrifying, but at a point in my 50s, I realized that I had to step up to the plate.

You can do yoga and be thinking about going shopping. The goal is kind of like meditation, is to be totally present in your body in the moment. That's when the most profound effects of yoga can happen. That's what I urge people to try to do. It's very important to be in your body.
