I'm not a disciplined writer.

Unfortunately, I am not one of those comics where it's guaranteed that I hit it out of the park every time. You know, I am not completely reliable. It's always different, and it's a complete crapshoot whether I'm going to do well.

Blood may be thicker than water, but it is still sticky, unpleasant and generally nauseating.

It's been hard in entertainment as a 45-year-old woman to find jobs. They get fewer and far between if you're older, unless you're one of the few lucky ones who work constantly, like Meryl Streep.

Taking into account the public's regrettable lack of taste, it is incumbent upon you not to fit in.

I would say just in general, in life, I'm more willing to be animated as a person, and so obviously onstage as well.

Boy, does that give you street cred for years after, if you tell people you were on 'The Larry Sanders Show!'
