Freedom and love go together. Love is not a reaction. If I love you because you love me, that is mere trade, a thing to be bought in the market; it is not love. To love is not to ask anything in return, not even to feel that you are giving something- and it is only such love that can know freedom.

Surely love has nothing to do with the mind, it is not the product of the mind; love is entirely independent of calculation, of thought.

Seeing, observing, listening, these are the greatest acts

The only freedom is the freedom from the known.

To learn about oneself, a living thing, you have to watch, learn anew each minute.

Only when the mind is tranquil-through self-knowledge and not through imposed self-discipline-only then, in that tranquillity, in that silence, can reality come into being. It is only then that there can be bliss, that there can be creative action.

There is an art of seeing things as they are: without naming, without being caught in a network of words, without thinking interfering with perception.
