War is a stage brought about by the standardizing of thought, revolt, and life - not by the freedom of life, not by the revolt of life.

We want to be famous as a writer, as a poet, as a painter, as a politician, as a singer, or what you will. Why? Because we really don't love what we are doing. If you loved to sing, or to paint, or to write poems, if you really loved it you would not be concerned with whether you are famous or not.

Doesn't becoming imply time?

To understand the totality of this extraordinary thing called life, one must obviously not be too definite about these things. One cannot be definite with something which is so immense, which is not measurable by words. We cannot understand the immeasurable so long as we approach it through time.

In oneself lies the whole world and if you know how to look and learn, the door is there and the key is in your hand. Nobody on earth can give you either the key or the door to open, except yourself.

Religion becomes a matter of belief, and belief acts as a limitation on the mind; and the mind then is never free.

Most people like to live in illusions.
