Learn all you can, don't be lazy. Nothing's worse than being stupid. Being broke is bad, but being stupid is what's really bad. And what's really really bad is being broke and stupid. Nothing's much worse than that. Unless you're sick. Sick, broke and stupid, that’s about as far as you can fall unless you're ugly. Surely that would be the ultimate; ugly, sick, broke and stupid.

The best motivating is self-motivating. The guy says, "I wish someone would come by and turn me on. "What if they don't show up? You've got to have a better plan for your life."

What kind of influence do you want to have? What kind of effect do you want to have on other people? Never mistake the power of influence.

Leaders must learn to discipline their disappointments. It's not what happens to us, it is what we choose to do about what happens that makes the difference in how our lives turn out.

You cannot speak that which you do not know. You cannot share that which you do not feel. You cannot translate that which you do not have.

I find it fascinating that most people plan their vacation with better care than they do their lives. Perhaps that is because escape is easier than change
