I guess I'd rather be loved than respected.

If you don't have the ability to see when to stand up and the conviction to do it, you'll never be an effective leader.

When pastors ask me if their people will buy this vision, I ask them two questions: "Have they bought into your leadership?" If they haven't, don't ever try to pass on a vision. Second, "Have you processed this vision correctly?"

Set the tone for your day be treating people better than you expect to be treated by them. Be the first to smile. Express your appreciation for them. Expect the best out of them. If you act first, you will set yourself up for success.

Exceptionally hard decisions can deplete your energy to the point at which you finally cave in. If you mentally crumble and degenerate into negative thinking, you'll magnify the problem to the point where it can haunt you.

To reach your potential you must grow. And to grow, you must be highly intentional about it.

We have to pick and choose between good and a little bit better.
