The good times and the bad times both will pass. It will pass. It will get easier. But the fact that it will get easier does not mean that it doesnโt hurt now. And when people try to minimize your pain they are doing you a disservice. And when you try to minimize your own pain youโre doing yourself a disservice. Donโt do that. The truth is that it hurts because itโs real. It hurts because it mattered. And thatโs an important thing to acknowledge to yourself. But that doesnโt mean that it wonโt end, that it wonโt get better. Because it will.

Because the book does not exist for the benefit of the author, the book exists for the benefit of YOU. If we as readers can have a bigger and richer experience with the world as a result of reading a symbol and that symbol wasn't intended by the author, WE STILL WIN.
