Reading is more important to me than eating.

Grace is the pleasure of God to magnify the worth of God by giving sinners the right and power to delight in God without obscuring the glory of God.

Feeling loved by God means feeling glad not only that He crushed His Son so that I can be forgiven, but that He's crushing everything that takes away from my praising of the glory of His grace.

What could be a greater privilege than to listen to the voice of God, and be granted by God himself the ears to hear?

Love is doing what will enthrall the beloved with the greatest and longest joy. What will enthrall the beloved this way is the glory of God. Love means doing all we can, at whatever cost to ourselves, to help people be enthralled with the glory of God. When they are, they are satisfied and God is glorified. Therefore loving people and glorifying God are one.

God made us in His own image so that His image would be shown.

No one will be able to rise to the magnificence of the missionary cause who does not feel the magnificence of Christ.
