Don't ever think that the sin of your past means there is no hope for your future.

This is God's universal purpose for all Christian suffering: more contentment in God and less satisfaction in the world.

And in these last hours, the lifetime of this year passes before my eyes, and I face the inevitable question: Did I live it well? Will Jesus Christ, the righteous judge, say “Well done, good and faithful servant”?

God created us with sexual passion so that there would be language to describe what it means to cleave to him in love and what it means to turn away from him to others.

No one will be able to rise to the magnificence of the missionary cause who does not feel the magnificence of Christ.

God has given us prayer as a wartime walkie-talkie so that we can call headquarters for everything we need as the kingdom of Christ advances in the world. Prayer gives us the significance of front-line forces, and gives God the glory of a limitless Provider. The one who gives the power gets the glory. Thus prayer safeguards the supremacy of God in missions while linking us with endless grace for every need.
