If you let social activities take precedence over your academic activities, then you will soon lose your basketball activities.

Never confuse activity with accomplishment.

I'd be satisfied just coaching in high school. I turned down a number of colleges when I was teaching in South Bend, Indiana, before I went into the service. I honestly believe that if I hadn't enlisted in the service, I would never have left high school teaching. I'm sure I would have never left.

Many leaders don't listen, and it is one of the greatest methods we have of learning. You need to listen to those under your supervision and to those who are above you.

I'm glad I was a teacher.

Class is an intangible quality which commands, rather than demands, the respect of others.

When you choose to become part of a team, you cease to exist as an individual.
