Right before I met my husband, I always felt as if the party was happening somewhere else. And once I met him and we had our children, I was like, 'This is where the party is.'

I think all of us struggle with how to keep relationship alive. And yet it can't be static either. It's never going to be how it was when you first met because you're not in that place anymore; you're not necessarily the same people. So, that's the struggle - you're trying to make the relationship move forward with the rest of your life and make it special and meaningful. And I think it's incredibly challenging.

What gives you pleasure and joy? Let those be the things that lead you forward in life.

If you're 50, you're never going to be 50 ever again, so enjoy being 50. If you sit through the year wishing you were younger, before you know it, it's going to be over, and you're going to be 51.

Life is full of compromises, and whether or not you're willing to negotiate.

When the computer and tablets are all about playing games, thats not interesting to me.

When you become a parent, you finally appreciate and understand what your mother did.
