Sometimes you have to be uncomfortable.

I grew up watching science fiction and action movies. I love it. I absolutely love it!

I find that in the science fiction world, you have almost more women fans than male fans and I think it's because there's been such a shortage of strong female characters.

I don't take myself that seriously, I'm taking the piss out of myself. I can't really beat up guys, it's fun!

Science fiction fans are awesome, they love you so much that they'll watch anything you do, even if it's complete crap. I never dreamed that I would go to conventions and sit down and have coffee with a Klingon. It's so weird, but it's my life.

Most of the characters I play are heavily engulfed in some sort of fantasy world.

There's a little bit of me in all of the characters I've played. I've never really had the opportunity to play something that's a complete departure from me.
