I feel like I have a little bit of a fresh ear when creating music. I'm not trying to be like anything else, cuz I have no idea what anything else is like!

I just like having fun. And, you know, sometimes I just like to present myself in that fun energy.

I don't feel like I'm very pop-star lame, but I'm definitely not hipster-cool.

I always tell my fans that are closest to me, if it's not coming from my mouth, my website, or my appointed person, then it's generally not true. Or it's an exaggeration.

I am a pop girl! And I'm on a major label. I enjoy singing pop songs.

I don't want to completely self-sabotage everything that I've got and alienate everyone. But I definitely want to take some chances as I always have.
