People want to act like they know celebrities. They want to see pictures. They want to know where you're going. They want to hear you talk about your family.

In my divorce, I stood up and said to my ex-wife, 'Hey, I messed up. This had nothing to do with you. I didn't understand what marriage was. I cheated. I was wrong. We couldn't fix it; it got worse. I stepped away because I didn't want it to get any worse. You're the mother of my kids - I don't want to hate you.'

Stand-up can take you in so many different places, man. So many doors can be opened up from stand-up comedy, and the first one that was opened up for me was acting.

I make a lot of expressions constantly. I'm animated.

I can honestly say, after talking about my mom passing away, I got the biggest weight off of my chest. Comedy is my therapy. That's how I deal with my problems, my personal battles. I talk about it. I give it to my fans. When they laugh at it, it's a release, for lack of a better word.

It all depends on what you're willing to invest time and effort in and put your mind to. That's what separates winners from losers. Winners are the ones who want the most out of their opportunities.

I'm trying to maintain a level of realness that my fans can appreciate.
