I think there are a lot of actors who act because they have an impulse to do it and they can't ignore it.

If you respect yourself and you love yourself, that's the only way anybody else is going to.

Things don't happen for no reason.

One thing that I don't think I do is play characters. Once you start claiming that you can do something that you're not, you're crazy. I think scripts can really surprise you. You go, "Wow, I did not know that that response could come from me. I did not know that I had that in me." And so, the process of making the movie is just finding that and digging a little deeper.

People sometimes actually get me to think I take things too seriously and maybe I'm too earnest and it's coming across like I'm better than them.

People are always going to find the ones with the weird like buzz-worthy thing about a movie and like run with it.

My best friend just had a baby, and she's my age. So I'm a godmom now, which is crazy.
