I'm also human so I have days when I look in the mirror and go, "All right . . . Things are definitely changing." I can see that.

A question that I can't answer is: what do you want to do next? What's your dream role? What are you really looking to do? Where do you see yourself? It doesn't make any sense because that's such an outsider's perspective.

I can't draw a line between myself and stuff that I do. It's funny, I don't want to sound like it's just about this, but really with everything I do, it's hard for me to take myself out of it.

I have been criticized a lot for not looking perfect in every photograph. I'm not embarrassed about it. I'm proud of it. If I took perfect pictures all the time, the people standing in the room with me, or on the carpet, would think, 'What an actress! What a faker!'

I feel like nowadays everyone perceives you the same way. You can't even have a private life away from your family; it's like everything is very hands-on!

This weird thing happens when you're in a movie that has some level of success. People start offering you all kinds of things, and they just expect you to do them because they'll be good for your career. It's not about the project's integrity or anything like that.

I don't talk to anybody about my personal life, and maybe that perpetuates it, too. But it's really important to own what you want to own and keep it to yourself.
