I am not closed off to anything right now. That is what I was saying about not having any more walls up. I don't want to deprive myself of any bit of life.

When you love something, you get to know it. Then you feel the ownership and if it changes, you only love it as far as you know it because then you're like, "What is this?"

I really, specifically, love acting, and I think it's a really cool thing to be really indulgent and follow that. I have a lot of ambitions in life, but for the next few years, I just want to be an actor. That's a lucky opportunity, and that drives me to want to be good at that.

Reading something for the first time and getting this feeling like the material provokes you on some level, and doing the movie is really just sort of defining and figuring out why exactly you felt certain things when you read it.

I've done interviews with actors who I've worked with who I really like, and I'm like, "Wow, look at you. You're just going on . . . You don't even know what you're saying!"

I think by default I wanted to be an actor because, on a movie set as a little kid, the only thing that you can do is be an actor. And I was really enthralled by the whole process.

If you look at the actual movies that I've done, the whole struggle is to get to that point, so it's not something that you just have so easy . . . But it's okay. It doesn't bother me. I've done okay so far.
