Knowledge of the eternal is all-embracing. To be all-embracing leads to righteousness, which is majestic.

Heaven and Earth last for ever. Why do Heaven and Earth last for ever? They are unborn, so ever living. The sage stays behind, thus he is ahead. He is detached, thus at one with all. Through selfless action, he attains fulfillment.

Why did the ancients praise the Way? Did they not say it was because you find what you seek and are saved from your wrongdoings?

The greatest teacher has nothing to say. He simply gives himself in service, and never worries.

Practice non-action. Work without doing.

Manifest plainness, embrace simplicity, reduce selfishness, have few desires.

The heavy is the root of the light. The unmoved is the source of all movement. Thus the Master travels all day without leaving home. However splendid the views, she stays serenely in herself. Why should the lord of the country flit about like a fool? If you let yourself be blown to and fro, you lose touch with your root. If you let restlessness move you, you lose touch with who you are.
