He who has no faith in others shall find no faith in them.

I have three precious things which I hold fast and prize. The first is gentleness; the second frugality; the third is humility, which keeps me from putting myself before others. Be gentle and you can be bold; be frugal and you can be liberal; avoid putting yourself before others and you can become a leader among men.

The Eternal generates the One. The One generates the Two. The Two generates the Three. The Three generates all things.

The nameless is the beginning of Heaven and Earth. The named is the mother of all things.

The more we give to others, the more we are increased.

The great Way is easy, yet people prefer the side paths. Be aware when things are out of balance. Stay centered within the Tao. When rich speculators prosper While farmers lose their land; when government officials spend money on weapons instead of cures; when the upper class is extravagant and irresponsible while the poor have nowhere to turn- all this is robbery and chaos. It is not in keeping with the Tao.

The great Way is very straight, but people prefer to deviate.
