He that humbles himself shall be preserved entire. He that bends shall be made straight. He that is empty shall be filled. He that is worn out shall be renewed. He who has little shall succeed. He who has much shall go astray.

The most straight seems curved.

Not praising the deserving prevents envy.

What the Way is to the world, the stream is to the river and the sea.

The most complete seems lacking. Yet in use it is not exhausted.

Kindness in thinking creates profundity. Kindness in giving creates love.

A man is born gentle and weak. At death he is hard and stiff.
