For knowledge, add something every day. For wisdom....subtract.

Without going outside, you may know the whole world, without looking through the window, you may see the ways of heaven. The farther you go, the less you know. Thus the sage knows without traveling; he sees without looking; he works without doing.

To the good I would be good; to the not-good I would also be good, in order to make them good.

Those who would take over the earth and shape it to their will, never, I notice succeed.

Failure is an opportunity. If you blame someone else, there is no end to the blame. Therefore the Master fulfills her own obligations and corrects her own mistakes. She does what she needs to do and demands nothing of others.

It is because every one tinder Heaven recognizes beauty as beauty that the idea of ugliness exists.
