Pursue without interfering.
Those who are self-righteous are not prominent.
Those who have hardened, have a covenant with Death. Those who remain gentle are conjoined with Life.
As it acts in the world, the Tao is like the bending of a bow. The top is bent downward; the bottom is bent up. It adjusts excess and deficiency so that there is perfect balance.
To retreat after a work well done is Heaven's Way.
...The sage, traveling all day, Does not lose sight of his baggage. Though there are beautiful things to be seen, He remains unattached and calm.
