Most of the things we spend our lives chasing will turn to dust in the end.

Believe the best about people. Pray for their short comings. You are not the standard. We all need grace.

The bible says it's by grace that you're saved it's not by dressing up that you're saved. So I just wanted people to know it's not about putting on airs, it's about being honest and transparent and saying "God here's my junk, can you help me?"

The church didn't know what to do with Ray Charles or Al Green. And so they were kind of ostracized.

I want to be the bridge. I embrace it. I don't mind being a leader. I don't mind opening the doors. I guess my prayer is that there will be other leaders behind me who will come in and do more than what I've done, and more than what I can do and that this serves as an opportunity to level the playing field in hip-hop. I just want to be able to say "Hey, there's way more going on in life than the club."

It's easier to be hedonistic and just chase after whatever appeals to your senses. That's the life of an animal, you just do. It's more difficult to stand by your convictions and have people berate you on both sides and feel like there's no home for you.

You're trying to figure out who you are when you're younger. However, once you've found yourself, you run your race, and you run in your own lane.
