A lot of people just love music, especially a lot of aspiring artists. They just want to jump in and start making music. They don't really take time to grow and appreciate the craft.

There's a saying that goes around that says "I you crossover make sure you bring the cross over." That's definitely my heart and my aim. I want to remain distinct and authentically Christian in whatever realm I'm in.

I don't think the music industry has done any damage to my faith - it's probably strengthened it because it's made me see how necessary and relevant it is. I think if you don't keep your guard up, obviously there's a lot of potential for being half-hearted throughout the whole process because you can compare yourself to other people instead of the ultimate standard.

When you go watch "The Lord Of The Rings," you don't just buy a bag of popcorn, and go sit in the movie theater to watch where covetous people in our hearts deceive us, and then walk out the theater. That's the message that may be in that movie.

I like to be in the zone. I like being in the studio with the artists, with the producers, with the musicians, feeling it, and going there. I feel like I have a lot of content to start writing about.

Sex, drugs, money, power etc. Just because you get to choose your master doesn't mean you aren't a slave.

God gave you your own race to run, stop comparing yourself to other people. They have their race and you have yours. Run hard and don't quit.
