There is more freedom confessing our weaknesses and shortcomings than in pretending we have it all together

God gave you your own race to run, stop comparing yourself to other people. They have their race and you have yours. Run hard and don't quit.

We all need grace in the face of each other.

Either you will determine truth by your feelings or truth will determine your feelings. Be careful following feelings alone.

I live by the spirit so I don't gratify all them old sinful desires that never satisfy.

I know for me as an artist, I think I do myself and my listeners a disservice, if I don't listen to some of the best music out there. If I was an architect or a carpenter, I'm going to want to study the best architects and carpenters and I'm going to appreciate their work, because they're going to inspire me to do well. And I just look at them as great architects and I just appreciate the gift that God gave them.

We find worth in jobs, money, & performance so we can hide how worthless we feel inside. Acknowledge the pain to be healed.
