The fans reacted very positively to me being cast [The Mortal Instruments] which, as a Twilight or Harry Potter franchise, when you read a book and you have someone in your mind or you have a vision and then they're cast in real life, it can go either way. So I was very, very honored and happy that they were excited.

I loved the idea [of improvisation], but I'd never taken any classes or practiced it.

My older siblings and I all work in 'the industry'. So obviously we have hectic schedules, but we make it work.

My advice for girls who are waiting for their Prince Charming is to be open for anything. Be open to new experiences, be open to the idea that it may take longer than you want, but if you're open to meeting new people and new adventures, then love will come along.

I like to be comfortable but I also like to look put together all the time.

I don't wear dresses all the time - it's nice to save those moments for certain occasions and to make it feel extra special.

Everything happens for a reason and, of course at times it's very discouraging, but at the end of the day you can't take it personally and move onward because if you let it sit with you, then it starts to eat away at you and you're allowing someone else to steal your excitement. No one wants that.
