Microsoft isn't evil, they just make really crappy operating systems.

You can do a lot of things with git, and many of the rules of what you *should* do are not so much technical limitations but are about what works well when working together with other people. So git is a very powerful set of tools.

One of the reasons that I really don't mind that people are selling Linux commercially is exactly because it does make me feel good that people use the product.

I don't actually follow other operating systems much. I don't compete - I just worry about making Linux better than itself, not others.

When it comes to software, I much prefer free software, because I have very seldom seen a program that has worked well enough for my needs, and having sources available can be a life-saver.

Part of doing Linux was that I had to communicate a lot more instead of just being a geek in front of a computer.

Portability is for people who cannot write new programs.
