Why is it, that giving guns is so easy, but giving books is so hard?

Pakistanis can't trust. They've seen in history that people, particularly politicians, are corrupt. And they're misguided by people in the name of Islam. They're told: 'Malala is not a Muslim, she's not in purdah, she's working for America.

Weakness, fear and hopelessness died. Strength, power and courage was born.

Fifty seven million children across the world don't want an iPhone, Xbox or chocolates. They want a book and pen.

Education had been a great gift for him [Ziauddin]. He believed that lack of education was the root of all the Pakistan's problems. Ignorance allowed politicians to fool people and bad administrators to be reelected. He believed schooling should be available for all, rich and poor, boys and girls.

We call upon all communities to be tolerant, to reject prejudice based on caste, creed, sect, colour, religion or agenda to ensure freedom and equality for women so they can flourish. We cannot all succeed when half of us are held back.

They only can shoot a body but they cannot shoot my dreams.
