You can go to Graff and buy a diamond that's flawless. You aren't going to be able to buy the same diamond at Fortunoff, but it's still a diamond you can enjoy. If fashion can allow you to have the Chanel mystique through a lipstick, then why shouldn't art allow you to have that through a sweatshirt that says 'Cremaster' on it?

I don't love Photoshop; I like imperfection. It doesn't mean ugly. I love a girl with a gap between her teeth, versus perfect white veneers. Perfection is just... boring. Perfect is what's natural or real; that is beauty.

I like to make things. I like making choices, choosing colours, evoking a spirit, a change.

Makeup is the finishing touch, the final accessory.

Awkwardness gives me great comfort.

To me, beauty and makeup and color is like the finishing touch on everything.
