The ego mind both professes its desire for love and does everything possible to repel it, or if it gets here anyway, to sabotage it. That is why dealing with issues like control, anger, and neediness is the most important work in preparing ourselves for love.

You can learn a lesson the first time, when it's presented in a package that is joyous - or at least palatable. But if you don't learn the lesson the first time, then there will be a second time and a third time. And each time it will just get harder and harder.

The fate of the world rests on this one thing: our capacity to actualize our spiritual potential, and quickly.

Rather than accepting that we are the loving beings that He created, we have arrogantly thought that we could create ourselves, and then create God. Because we are angry and judgmental, we have projected those characteristics onto Him. We have made up a God in our image. But God remains who He is and always has been: the energy, the thought of unconditional love.

It is not your job to seek for love. It IS your job to seek within yourself all the barriers against its coming.

As you get older, you have more and more layers of experience to forgive, more layers of heartbreak, more layers of what you might think of as failure.

I think it's unfortunate how many people today try to build up their own careers by denigrating the work of others.
