There are surely people in London who would love to play us off against each other. That would be disastrous for the EU.

But if we want things to continue to go well into the future, then we have to break up the antiquated structures in some areas and really modernize.

But that doesn't mean we should give up on the idea - it means we should change the administration.
Martin SchulzDonald Trump has made the principle of purposely breaking a taboo into a means of achieving his political objectives, which is something that he has in common with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. Trump systematically violates international rules. But we cannot allow ourselves to forget that Trump is not the U.S.
