Faith that it's not always in your hands or things don't always go the way you planned, but you have to have faith that there is a plan for you, and you must follow your heart and believe in yourself no matter what.

I think it's important to find someone that you really like as well as love. When the infatuation runs out, the first phase of the relationship changes. You really have to be able to say 'I like to hang out with you. Let's keep hanging out.'

I find that putting my makeup on and playing with different looks is really relaxing for me before the show.

I love to sing with great singers.

I grew up singing in Kansas. My dad had a band when I was growing up. So I sang in church and school and started singing with his band when I was seven. So I've been singing all my life.

What drives me now is the desire to be able to keep doing this. I love making records and performing, and success means I will continue to have the privilege to do that. I know it's not going to last forever, but I'd like to keep having success as long as I can so that I can still be a part of this industry.

I am happy that women can relate to my songs, and hopefully men can too.
