When I did The Fifth Element [1997], it was like, "Oh my goodness, who is this character?" I loved doing Resident Evil, but Resident Evil is Resident Evil with or without me. It's an entity of its own. It's not like Milla made Resident Evil.

You know, women are so much cooler than guys because we can do more martial arts. Martial arts are pretty much made for women because we're quicker and we're smaller than men, and so we're faster. You girls really should take martial arts.

What attracted me to A Perfect Getaway was that I sorta played a girlfriend role for, you know, 85 percent of the film. That was really interesting to me, because I'd never really played a girlfriend before.

I love to draw, so I really want to go and study art. I've never done things for me. I've always done things for my career or for my family.

As much as I enjoy doing Resident Evil - and I'm so grateful that this movie, fourth in the franchise, has done better than any of the ones before - the fact that I can get movies made that I wanna make...it gives me the opportunity to do things like Dirty Girl.

My regular life today is reading books, making dolls houses, sewing dolls with my daughter and barbequing.
