My brother was in high school and he had a garage band going, but no one would sing. They were covering a Hatebreed song at the time and I knew the words for it. My brother knew I knew the words, so he came inside the house and he's like 'Hey Mitch, come out here and sing'. I did it and after that I started a band with my older brother. That's how I got started.
Mitch LuckerI think just having a gift and being able to do something creative and having people like it and enjoy it... I'm in a really, really cool place here. A lot of people try to do this and might get a little bit of success, but we've been lucky. We're going to take that and try and go as far as we can with it and just do the best that we can.
Mitch LuckerTo be honest, we're really nervous right now. It's our third album, so it's gotta be our best and biggest.
Mitch LuckerEverything's filthy. But you know what? One day it's not gonna be here. So just be glad you know what life is. You're alive. Live.
Mitch LuckerWith our last album ("No Time To Bleed"), we recorded most of it in New Jersey. And with being on the road 9 months a year, recording an album on the other side of the country- it just wasn't a good experience for us. All I wanted to do was go home and see my daughter, so for us to only be a couple hours away was huge- I could go home if I needed to.
