A man asked Muhammad what was the mark whereby he might know the reality of his faith. Muhammad said, 'If thou derive pleasure from the good which thou hast performed and thou be grieved for the evil which thou hast committed, thou art a true believer.' The man said. 'In what doth a fault really consist' Muhammad said, 'when action pricketh thy conscience, forsake it.'
MuhammadThe worldly comforts are not for me. I am like a traveler, who takes rest under a tree in the shade and then goes on his way.
MuhammadThe space of the bow of any one of you in Paradise is better than all that the sun rises upon.
MuhammadYou will not enter paradise until you have faith. And you will not complete your faith until you love one another.
MuhammadA good friend and a bad friend are like a perfume-seller and a blacksmith: The perfume-seller might give you some perfume as a gift, or you might buy some from him, or at least you might smell its fragrance. As for the blacksmith, he might singe your clothes, and at the very least you will breathe in the fumes of the furnace.
