In a democracy, everyone has the right to criticise the Government. Normally, the opposition gets more media space and even the people find it interesting to listen to voices against the government of the day. Ever since I took office, my friends in the opposition have been levelling baseless allegations about my foreign trips. Had these trips been a failure, then they would have based their comments on specific issues. When opponents keep harping on one point, it is a sure sign of success!

India's democracy where over 1 billion people have a voice in deciding their future is a world example of how governance can incorporate diversity into a movement for inclusive growth. New modes of democratic engagement, especially through using e-governance are allowing greater access to fundamental rights for all our people.

I see the role of IT as a change agent. It empowers, connects and can bind isolated parts of India and create harmony. IT can join people with governments, bridge the gap between demand and supply, and can bring us closer to knowledge.

Be it caste or communal violence, they stall the growth of the nation. Let us affirm that we will be free from these tensions.

Children who can barely say maa, pappa, are saying Ab ki baar Modi sarkar. This is the power of democracy.

Even small efforts to bring about a change in the social fabric eventually reap large fruits.

If we want the nation to move ahead, then we'll have to leave behind the thinking that Government will do everything...we all need to collectively devote to make our country move forward.
