I have never been concerned about winning the Ballon d'Or or being the best player in the world. The best player is already here and that's Messi. And now I can see him from close up and help him.

Individually, I always want to give the most. I want to help the Brazilian National Team the best way possible, whether is with goals, assists or even a slide tackle, whatever. All that matters is to help the team.

That's a funny thing, because it's 3 rivals who get a long great on the club that are friends [Neimar, Lionel Messi and Louise Alberto Suarez]. And it's something kinda impossible to imagine that it would happen. But it did and things have been working for us. Of course we mess with each other when someone goes to the national team, but we get a long great.

I'm a bit sad because I'm leaving my cherished team in a city where I grew up and where I played for nine years in Santos. But I'm even happier to be facing a new challenge and for making a dream come true.

It's a dream of any player to win the bdo. I came really close to it and I'm very proud of my work, for being one of the 3 bests in the world, for the people who are working with me and that are helping me and supporting me. I hope someday I can win it.

Life only makes sense when our highest ideal is to serve Christ!
