I don't think that the United States cares. They just assume that North Korea will soon have nuclear weapons.

People are interested in authentic long-term, socialist goals, which is not what is usually called socialism. But, general guidelines could be worked out and many of the specific problems can be discussed. That should just be part of people's popular consciousness. That's how a transition to socialism could take place.

Because as [James Madison] put it, one of the primary goals of government was to protect the minority of the opulent against the majority, to make sure the opulent maintain their rights. The constitutional system was structured to ensure that outcome.

If you're in a system where you must make profit in order to survive. You are compelled to ignore negative externalities, effects on others.

Technology is usually fairly neutral. It’s like a hammer, which can be used to build a house or to destroy someone’s home. The hammer doesn’t care. It is almost always up to us to determine whether the technology is good or bad.
