Reading gave me hope.

I know that you cannot hate other people without hating yourself.

Living your best life is to find out what your calling is. Your real job on Earth is to find out what you were meant to be doing & to find a way to do that thing.

I was raised to believe that excellence is the best deterrent to racism or sexism. And that's how I operate my life.

I've learned that you can't have everything and do everything at the same time.

I know for sure that's what we're here to do: Keep the joy thing going for all seasons.

I choose to rise up out of that storm and see that in moments of desperation, fear, and helplessness, each of us can be a rainbow of hope, doing what we can to extend ourselves in kindness and grace to one another. And I know for sure that there is no them - there's only us.
