The deadliest Pharisaism today is not hypocrisy, but unconscious unreality.

Only one in a thousand sits down in the midst of it all and says—I will watch my Father mend this. God must not be treated as a hospital for our broken “toys,” but as our Father.

It never cost a disciple anything to follow Jesus; to talk about cost when you are in love with anyone is an insult.

Sin is not wrong doing, it is wrong BEING, deliberate and emphatic independence of God.

We have the idea that God is going to do some exceptional thing- that He is preparing and equipping us for some extraordinary work in the future. But as we grow in His grace we find that God is glorifying Himself here and now, at this very moment. If we have God’s assurance behind us, the most amazing strength becomes ours, and we learn to sing, glorifying Him even in the ordinary days and ways of life.

So many of us limit our praying because we are not reckless in our confidence in God. In the eyes of those who do not know God, it is madness to trust Him, but when we pray in the Holy Spirit we begin to realize the resources of God, that He is our perfect heavenly Father, and we are His children.

Never run before God gives you His direction. If you have the slightest doubt, then He is not guiding. Whenever there is doubt-wait.
