No power on earth or in hell can conquer the Spirit of God in a human spirit

Faith is unutterable trust in God, trust which never dreams that He will not stand by us.

We are in danger of forgetting that we cannot do what God does, and that God will not do what we can do. We cannot save ourselves nor sanctify ourselves, God does that; but God will not give us good habits, He will not give us character, He will not make us walk aright. We have to do all that ourselves.

It is impossible to conduct your life as a disciple without definite times of secret prayer

The entrance into the Kingdom is through the panging pains of repentance crashing into a man's respectable goodness; then the Holy Ghost, who produces these agonies begins the formation of the Son God in the life.

Faith must be tested, because it can be turned into a personal possession only through conflict.

You do not know what you are going to do,the only thing you know is that God knows what He is doing.......It is this attitude that keeps you in perpetual wonder-you do not know what God is going to do next.
